Insoluble Rose

Through the night sky ,

I watched the cup of a rose

fill with the sky’s tears.

Spilled water seeps to earth

it seeps to eyes of bone.

Lost the wonder of your touch the pale

sun around your lips, the moon inside

your mouth.

So much wish to touch past the stars

and burst that skin that holds grey sky.

Pulling back the past the curtained night

to change it into day.

Then maybe I could see her face as flowers

subside in rain.

Then maybe i could see your face

as flowers subside in rain.
